Can someone who isn't an owner be on the strata committee?

Eligibility rules exist to keep the committee accountable to the people it represents — the owners — but there are recognised categories of representative that aren't the owner in person. Can strata committee members be paid for their role?

Whether a committee member can receive any payment is a question that touches on conflicts of interest as much as remuneration, so it's worth treating carefully.
