In New South Wales, a strata scheme is run by the owners corporation, which elects a strata committee to handle day-to-day decisions between general meetings, under the Strata Schemes Management Act 2015.

VIC

Victoria

In Victoria, an owners corporation (formerly a body corporate) may elect a committee to manage routine matters on its behalf, under the Owners Corporations Act 2006.

QLD

Queensland

In Queensland, a community titles scheme is run by the body corporate, which elects a committee to make day-to-day decisions, under the Body Corporate and Community Management Act 1997.

WA

Western Australia

In Western Australia, every strata scheme has a strata company made up of all lot owners, which elects a strata council to handle day-to-day management, under the Strata Titles Act 1985.

South Australia

Tasmania

In the ACT, strata is called 'unit title'. Units plans are managed by an owners corporation, which can elect an executive committee, under the Unit Titles (Management) Act 2011.
